Questions about Ashley and how she works

Yes — absolutely. While Ashley's professional background is rooted in North Carolina, all coaching, consulting, and community offerings are delivered virtually and are open to anyone, anywhere. Charter and non-traditional school leaders across the country face the same systems challenges, and moms everywhere are navigating the same pressures.

If in-person work is something you're interested in, that's a conversation worth having — but it's always arranged after an initial virtual consultation, never the starting point.

Yes. Ashley is available for speaking engagements — virtual and in-person — for conferences, leadership events, school staff days, women's events, and organizational gatherings. Topics span school leadership, systems building, working motherhood, financial wellness, and personal development.

Speaking inquiries are handled through the contact page. Ashley will review all requests and respond personally.

Then you're in exactly the right place — because Ashley built both sides of this for exactly that person. The school leader and the mom go home to the same house. Both sides of Defining My Way Academy operate under the same philosophy: the right systems, built around your actual reality, change everything.

You can engage with both sides independently or together. Many people do. Start with whichever side is feeling most urgent right now — the other will be here when you're ready.

The best way to reach Ashley is through the contact page or by replying directly to any email you've received from her. She reads every message personally and responds to every one.

For school and organizational inquiries — including invoices, contracts, and speaking requests — email is always the right starting point.

Questions about working with your school

Yes — professional development is one of the core ways Ashley serves schools. PD can happen through several pathways depending on what your school needs:

  • Monthly Power Sessions — open to all school leaders, 90 minutes, focused on one specific systems topic. Free for Collective members, $47–$197 for non-members.
  • The Systems Reset Cohort — 90-day group coaching experience where your school works through one critical systems area with a cohort of peer schools.
  • School-specific PD — custom professional development designed specifically for your school's leadership team, staff, or both. This is arranged through a direct conversation and quoted based on scope.

The free School Systems Reality Check is the best first step — it tells you exactly where your school's gaps are and which type of support fits best.

Everything starts virtually — and most of the work stays that way. All coaching, Power Sessions, Systems Reset cohorts, and Strategy Sessions are delivered virtually. This keeps costs lower for schools and makes scheduling dramatically more flexible.

That said, Ashley is open to in-person work for the right school, the right event, or the right opportunity. In-person arrangements are always discussed and agreed upon after an initial virtual consultation — never just showing up without a clear plan and shared commitment. If in-person is something your school is interested in, bring it up in your first conversation and it can be explored from there.

Possibly — and it depends on what you're looking for. Speaking engagements, school leadership retreats, and certain school-specific PD can be arranged in person when it makes sense for the commitment and the context. The Real Talk Roundtable — a twice-yearly peer leadership event — is planned to include at least one in-person gathering per year.

The standard for all ongoing coaching and cohort work is virtual. In-person is the exception, not the default, and it's always planned well in advance.

Absolutely — and this is one of the things Ashley built specifically for schools in mind. Charter and non-traditional schools often need to go through proper purchasing channels, and that process is fully supported here. Payment options include:

  • Credit or debit card — processed securely through Stripe
  • PayPal Business
  • Invoice — sent directly through GoHighLevel, payable by check, card, or bank transfer
  • Purchase order — accepted for school and organizational purchases
  • Contract — available for any ongoing engagement or partnership
  • Buy Now, Pay Later — available for individuals paying personally, through integrated BNPL options at checkout

Defining My Way Academy LLC is also registered in SAM.gov, which many charter schools and federally funded organizations require for vendor eligibility. If your school needs vendor documentation, a W-9, UEI number, or anything else for your purchasing process — just reply to any email or use the contact page and it will be taken care of promptly.

The honest answer is — it depends on where your school is right now. That's exactly why the free School Systems Reality Check exists. It walks through all five systems areas your school is likely struggling with, scores your responses, identifies your biggest gap, and recommends the service that fits your current reality.

As a general guide:

  • Not sure where to start → Take the free Reality Check first
  • Want to try before committing → Start with a Power Session
  • Want ongoing community and resources → The School Leadership Collective
  • Ready to go deep on one systems challenge → The Systems Reset cohort
  • Need a full picture fast and a clear roadmap → School Systems Strategy Session
  • Leading multiple schools and need consistent support across all of them → Charter Organization Partnership

Yes — and in most cases it's encouraged. Systems work is most effective when it's not just the principal carrying it. Here's how multiple participants work across the different offerings:

  • Power Sessions — open to anyone. Bring your whole leadership team.
  • The Collective — priced per leader ($97/mo) or as a team ($297/mo). Team membership covers up to 5 leaders from the same school — $297/mo or $2,970/year (2 months free).
  • Systems Reset — priced per school, not per person. You decide who from your team participates in each session.
  • Strategy Session — designed around your school's leadership team. Bring whoever needs to be in the room.

If you're not sure how to structure participation for your team, that's a great question to bring to your first conversation.

That's an important question — and the honest answer is: it's very different.

State and authorizer support is typically structured around compliance — making sure your school meets requirements, passes reviews, and maintains its charter. That support is necessary. But it's not the same as someone coming alongside your school to help you build the internal systems that make everything else sustainable.

Ashley doesn't lead with compliance. She leads with people. Every engagement starts with listening — understanding where your school actually is, what's working, what isn't, and what your team needs to move forward. The goal isn't to help you pass a review. The goal is to help you build a school that doesn't need to scramble every time one comes around.

If your state or authorizer support has ever felt like a checklist — this is the alternative.

Yes — and this matters to Ashley personally. Charter schools are often doing the most important work with the least resources, and that's exactly why the entry points into this work are priced the way they are.

  • The free School Systems Reality Check costs nothing and gives you real, actionable clarity
  • Power Sessions start at $47 per session — no ongoing commitment required
  • The School Leadership Collective is $97/mo or $970/year per leader — annual members get 2 months free, less than most one-time PD registrations

Start where your budget allows. The free check-in and a Power Session or two can give your school significant value before any larger investment. And if your school needs an invoice or purchase order process, that's fully supported — just reach out directly.

Questions about the personal side of the work

The Right Lane Method™ is Ashley's signature framework for overwhelmed moms and women who are ready to stop trying to fix everything at once. It's built around five core areas — or lanes — of a woman's life:

  • Emotional & Mental Wellness
  • Time, Energy & Daily Life
  • Finances & Stability
  • Relationships & Boundaries
  • Purpose, Goals & Growth

Instead of overwhelming you with all five at once, The Right Lane Method™ starts with one question: which lane needs your attention first? The free Right Lane Check-In helps you figure that out in about 2 minutes.

The Becoming House is Ashley's private online community for moms and women hosted on Skool. It's the monthly membership space where the ongoing work happens — community, coaching, resources, and real conversations about what it takes to build a life that actually works for you.

Membership is $29/month. You can learn more and join at The Becoming House on Skool →

This is coaching and mentoring — not therapy. Ashley is not a licensed therapist and this work is not a substitute for mental health treatment.

What Ashley offers is practical systems support, honest conversation, lived experience, and a framework for getting your life more organized, more intentional, and more sustainable. If you're in a place where you need therapeutic support, she will always encourage you to seek it — and both can coexist. Real talk, real systems, and real professional support are not mutually exclusive.

No — while much of Ashley's personal brand content is rooted in her experience as a mom, The Becoming House community and The Right Lane Method™ are designed for any woman navigating an overwhelmed, full, purpose-driven life. You don't have to be a mom to feel the weight of too much responsibility and not enough support. If this work resonates with where you are — you belong here.

Start with the free Right Lane Check-In. It takes about 2 minutes and tells you exactly which of the five lanes needs your attention first — based on where you actually are right now, not where you think you should be.

That one answer gives you a starting point. And a starting point changes everything.

  • Digital products and resources — free for members, available for purchase for everyone else
